- Position the sofa frame face-down
With a second person helping, carefully tip the sofa frame (A) onto its front face so the underside is accessible. Place it on a soft surface such as a blanket to prevent scratching.
Tip: Never attempt to flip the frame alone — always use two people to avoid injury and fabric damage.
- Attach the five legs
Take each leg (C) and screw it firmly by hand into the corresponding threaded socket on the underside of the frame (A). Tighten each leg fully so it does not wobble.
Tip: Turn each leg clockwise until snug; a slight extra quarter-turn by hand is enough — do not over-tighten or you may strip the thread.
- Stand the sofa upright
With your helper, carefully lift and rotate the sofa back onto its legs. Check that all five legs make firm, even contact with the floor.
Tip: Rock the sofa gently side to side to confirm it is stable before releasing your grip.
- Place the back cushion / bolster
Set the bolster (B) into position along the top back of the sofa frame (A) as shown. Press it down so it sits evenly and securely.
Tip: The tapered edge of the bolster faces inward toward the seat — check the profile matches the diagram before pressing it into place.
- Convert to bed mode (optional)
To open the bed, remove the back bolster (B) and set it aside, then grasp the inner back panel and fold it forward and down until the sleeping surface locks flat. Pull the extension platform outward until the legs drop and lock into position.
Tip: Keep fingers clear of the hinge mechanism and the folding back panel throughout this action to avoid pinching.
- Return to sofa mode (optional)
Push the pull-out platform back in until it clicks, then lift and fold the back panel upward until it locks vertical. Replace the bolster (B) along the top back.
Tip: Listen for a firm click when the back panel locks — if you do not hear it, check that the mechanism is fully engaged before sitting on the sofa.
