Help & FAQ
Everything you need to create, publish, and manage instruction guides — plus quick answers for the people who scan them.
How-tos
Step-by-step for the things sellers do most.
- Sign in and go to New guide.
- Pick how to build it: the step-by-step wizard, the AI builder (upload photos + rough notes), Import from PDF (rebuilds an existing manual), or the custom builder (write every step yourself).
- Choose the languages you want — AI writes the guide natively in each.
- Click Generate and you’ll land in the editor with a draft.
- On New guide, choose Import from existing PDF and drop in the file (PDF, DOCX, or TXT, up to 25MB).
- The product name and model are read from the PDF automatically — edit them if needed.
- One PDF that covers several products? Set the page range (e.g.
2-3) so the guide uses only that section. - Generate — AI rebuilds it as a swipeable, multilingual guide, diagrams included.
- Open the guide and review it (use Preview to see the buyer view).
- Click Publish and accept the responsibility agreement.
- You get a permanent link and a QR code — download it as PNG (print-ready) or SVG.
- Put the QR on your packaging or product. Buyers scan it to open the guide.
- Open the guide and click Edit guide.
- Reorder steps, change text, or swap images, then Save draft.
- Click Update live guide to push the changes.
- The link and QR stay the same, so anything already printed keeps working.
- Open the guide’s editor and find the Languages row.
- Turn on a language, then use its Translate action to fill it in from your base language.
- Review the translation — the editor flags any steps still missing text.
- Buyers get a language switcher that only shows languages you’ve actually translated.
- If the product involves electrical, gas, or child-safety hazards, mark it safety-critical in the editor.
- Buyers see a safety warning on the cover before they start.
- At publish you’ll accept an extra statement confirming the guide is accurate and code-compliant.
- That acceptance is recorded with your account. See the Terms.
- Open a published guide to view its Analytics.
- Track total scans, completion rate, and the average rating.
- The “How far buyers get” funnel shows where people drop off — the biggest drop is worth a clearer photo or shorter step.
- Buyers who finish a guide can register a warranty — those land under Registrations.
- Set each one’s status (Pending, Active, Void, Expired) or export the list as CSV.
- Missing-part requests land under Part requests; move each through its fulfillment stages.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be technical to make a guide?
No. Upload photos and a few notes, or an existing PDF, and the AI writes the steps. You can then edit anything before publishing.
What languages are supported?
English, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, French, German, and Japanese. AI writes each one natively — it’s not a word-for-word translation.
Can I change a guide after printing the QR code?
Yes. Editing and republishing keeps the same link and QR code, so anything already on your packaging keeps pointing at the latest version.
What file types can I upload?
Photos as JPEG, PNG, or WebP (up to 10MB each, 20 max). Manuals as PDF, DOCX, or TXT (up to 25MB).
Who is responsible for a guide’s accuracy and safety?
The seller who publishes it. SwipenDone renders your content but is not the manufacturer and does not verify instructions — the seller accepts responsibility at publish.
How do I delete a guide or a registration?
Use Delete on the guide (this removes its buyer data too), or delete an individual warranty registration from the Registrations page. Deleting is permanent; to retire a warranty without erasing it, set its status to Void.
What does AI diagnosis do?
When a buyer is stuck, they can describe the problem (and add a photo) and the AI suggests a fix — which can prevent a return. You can see what buyers got stuck on under Sticking points.
Do I need an account or app to use a guide?
No. Scan the QR code (or open the link) and the guide opens in your browser. No sign-in, no download.
Can I read it in my language?
If the seller published more than one language, tap the language switcher at the top of the guide.
A part is missing — what do I do?
On the parts screen, tap “Missing a part?” and send a request to the seller with your email — free of charge.
Do I have to register for the warranty?
No, it’s optional. If you do, your details go to the seller so they can honour the warranty and ship parts. See our Privacy Policy.
This product looks hazardous — is this guide enough?
A guide is a general visual aid from the seller, not professional advice. For electrical, gas, or child-safety products, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and local codes, and use a licensed professional where the law requires one.
